Job Summary:
This position is responsible for overall operation and supervision of the anaerobic digester and renewable natural gas separation including pretreatment and support equipment.
Key Responsibilities/Activities (included but not limited to):
-Provide work assignments to assistant staff to assure efficient operation.
-Prepare and adjust schedules of all staff to assure onsite coverage as needed for routine operations and special circumstances, including call-in coverage for nights and weekends.
-Understand the entire flow process of the facility including the subprocesses and equipment.
-Track biological, chemical and mechanical performance indicators to assure efficient operation.
-Oversee and perform laboratory methods for analysis of process samples.
-Operate equipment for dependable 24×7 performance.
-Perform maintenance with hands-on troubleshooting and repair equipment.
-Provide safety leadership for the facility to assure that safe practices are being followed.
-Serve as liaison for communication with farm managers to coordinate the impact of farm operation on the digester and impact of digester operation on the farms.
-Maintain a plan for scheduled preventive/predictive maintenance of all equipment using the maintenance software package.
-Participate in on-call coverage schedule.
-Compile operating data for reports to Sustain RNG management.
Qualifications:
–Degree in relevant engineering or related discipline
-Five years’ experience in operation of an environmental facility or manufacturing facility which had equipment operated by SCADA/PLC automation.
-Two years of responsible charge supervising other employees.
-Availability for limited weekend hours and for call-in and alarm response after hours and on weekends as needed.
Required Skills and Abilities:
-Working knowledge of 480-volt 3 phase equipment and motor controls and ability to start, shutdown, lockout electrical equipment and ability to troubleshoot, service and replace.
-Working knowledge of industrial automation including SCADAA, PLC, HMI, networking and related technology and ability to troubleshoot, service and replace.
-Working knowledge of industrial instrumentation including metering of flow, pressure, temperature, depth, composition of gases and liquids and ability to troubleshoot, service and replace.
-Understanding of permits and regulations pertaining to the facility and assure continuous compliance.
-Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, & Excel.
-Strong verbal, written, computer communication and organization skills.
-Ability to interact positively and effectively in a team environment.
Physical Demands:
-Occasional lifting or moving heavy materials.
-Ability to use a variety of tools.
-Ability to walk over uneven terrain and climb up equipment ladders.
-Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
Compensation:
-Salaried position $100,000 per year depending on qualifications
-Vehicle allowance for business related travel.

-Any trade school or post high school education in science or engineering discipline such as chemistry, biology, physics, agriculture, energy is very advantageous.
-Valid driver’s license and vehicle.

Qualifications:

-Experience with all shop tools and best work practices.

Key Responsibilities/Activities:
-Oversee activities of facility managers at multiple locations.
-Oversee all operations and maintenance at multiple locations.
-Assist site operators and mechanics with planning and performing maintenance.
-Create master database (CMMS) of all physical assets requiring maintenance and the OEM recommendations.
-Collaborate with facility managers to prepare annual budgets and track budget performance and variance.
-Travel to multiple project locations for construction, commissioning, start-up, and on short term basis occupy temporary living arrangements within 1 hour drive of the facility. Facility locations will be in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Ohio, Indiana.
-Create written procedures for safety, operations, laboratory, and maintenance at all locations.
-Drafting and implementing start up/commissioning plans, O&M manual, and trouble shooting support directly or in conjunction with outside specialists.
-Demonstrate commitment to the safety program and follow safe practices in all work.
-Assist and oversee the data backup and data records at multiple facilities.
-Train facility staff for operations, maintenance, and laboratory.
-Use remote access to log in to facility automation and support local staff in troubleshooting and decision making.
-Provide company management with reports and presentations of: Facility operations, production, efficiency, maintenance cost, maintenance labor hours, equipment life, asset reliability.
-Attend management meetings at company headquarters or other locations.
-Oversee accuracy and technical validity of record keeping required for compliance with the Low Carbon Fuel Standard.
Qualifications:
-Four-year degree in civil, environmental, electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering.
-Mastery of current state of the art in facility automation including SCADA/PLC/HMI systems and all instrumentation.
-Five years experience working with process control and facility automation in an industrial workplace.
-Availability for limited weekend hours and for call-in and alarm response after hours and on weekends as needed.
-Possess a valid driver’s license.
-Prior work with compressed gas and or anaerobic digestion processes.
Required Skills and Abilities:
-Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, & Excel.
-Prior work with implementation of CMMS – Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
-Strong verbal, written, computer communication and organization skills.
-Ability to interact positively and effectively in a team environment.

Compensation:
-Salary range $144k-180k depending on experience
-Per diem compensation for temporary relocation to site startups.

-Company vehicle expense allowance for transportation to work locations up to 3,000 miles per month limit.
-Bonus for RNG productivity.
